The Lady Behind the Blog

Kenethia Bright was raised in Chesapeake, VA.  After completing high school, she matriculated to Virginia State University and received her BA degree in Political Science.  Accepting the call for public service, she completed two terms as an AmeriCorps VISTA at Ashoka's Youth Venture.  During her tenure at YV, she also served in the capacity of the Manager of Operations and United Way Partnerships for two years.  Kenethia has served as a contractor for the Department of Homeland Security and is currently employed with the federal government.  In May 2013, she received her MBA degree from Trinity Washington University.

Her deep passion for youth development and public service is integral to her role as a Youth Leader at Mount Zion Pentecostal Church in Washington, D.C.  In addition to serving on the Youth and Young Adult ministry, she is an active member of the Seniors ministry and the Ministry Liaison team. 

Kenethia is a passionate writer, avid reader, and fashion enthusiast.  She is dedicated to ensuring that organizations have the tools necessary to achieve optimal results as it relates to their mission and vision. She is a student of leadership and endeavors to catalyze revolutionary milestones in the field.
